State Budget Crisis threatens cuts in Small Business Development Centers’ Programs

by Youth Business America on September 1, 2010

One of the great avenues for young entrepreneurs to get started is the programs offered by the Small Business Development Centers which work with Community Colleges throughout California.  Youth Business America views these centers as important Community Partners which will provide YBA with well prepared entrepreneurs ready to start their businesses. They are a valuable resource for existing businesses and also represent an important pathway to self-employment for young entrepreneurs with the initiative to make a positive impact in their local communities

Please read the linked article from the Los Angeles Times that describes the funding cuts for these programs that create employment,  at a time when they are most needed! For information on the locations of SBDC’s in Northern California, go here.
