The Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation
The Kauffman Foundation is the world’s leading foundation dedicated to entrepreneurship. It was founded by the late entrepreneur and philanthropist Ewing Marion Kauffman. Recognizing that his path to success could and should be achieved by more people, Mr. Kauffman directed his foundation to support entrepreneurship and to promote “a society of economically independent individuals who are engaged citizens, contributing to the improvement of their communities.”
The Foundation’s entrepreneurship team works to catalyze a society in which job creation, innovation, and the economy flourish. They work on multiple fronts to research, educate and implement programs that promote business creation and social enterprise in a broad spectrum of communities around the world.
Both the Kauffman Foundation and Youth Business America recognize the importance of entrepreneurship in society, and are aware of the steps necessary to help bright young individuals become successful entrepreneurs in the 21st century.

The Althea Foundation is a social venture fund dedicated to helping agents of change reach the full potential of their inspired ideas. It has developed a distinctive approach to engaging with their initiatives, providing the support and guidance they need to increase their impact and grow their social innovations to scale.
Its investment in a program is based on 3 guiding criteria: A project must be low-cost, scalable, and invaluable to society. It focuses on initiatives that address issues in the most neglected areas that might otherwise be left behind in the philanthropic world. To-date it has helped 13 visionary people and institutions realize their ambition and successfully launch programs that are improving the lives of thousands of people around the world. Volunteers
We would like to thank all of our volunteers who played an important role in helping YBA organize bringing the concept of a Youth Business Program into operation and to those who will continue to play a vital role in expanding YBA’s program to help more young people positively impact our communities through the creation of new businesses.
