YBA is seeking loan applications from young entrepreneurs recommended by our partner organizations. HOW TO APPLY TO YOUTH BUSINESS AMERICA FOR SUPPORT

Step 1:  Ensuring our program is right for you and your business idea

In order for YBA to provide our intended support to the entrepreneurial community, we first need to make sure that your business life cycle is at the appropriate stage to receive our assistance.  Click here for a list of YBA program eligibility requirements that will help you determine if we are right for you.

YBA has teamed up with Community Partners to help direct those entrepreneurs that are ready for our program to us.  If after reading through the eligibility requirements, or after starting our application process, you feel that your concept is not yet ready for our program, please click here to find a list of Community Partners that can help link you to resources and provide guidance to get you to that concept stage suitable for lending.

Step 2:  Telling us about yourself

Download the Introduction to YBA form and attach it in an email to entrepreneurs@youthbusinessamerica.org.  This form provides us with a brief background of who you are and what you wish to accomplish with the assistance of YBA.  We will review the information and contact you with regards to moving forward with the process.

If you have been directed to YBA through one of our Community Partners, you do not need to fill out the Introduction to YBA form.  Simply inquire with your Community Partner about receiving a referral from them, and they will send us an Entrepreneur Referral form which we will review and then contact you directly.

Step 3:  Applying with YBA

Once we contact you directly upon receiving your introduction form or Community Partner referral, we will provide you with our Application Packet and instructions for formally applying for our program.  After you have submitted all necessary application materials, YBA will perform a background check, credit check and a reference check and will then assess your business and financial plan for viability.

Step 4:  Present your Business to the YBA Selection Panel

Our Selection Panel of Credit, Business and Entrepreneur specialist will evaluate your plan and you will have the opportunity to present your case directly to them.  Soon after the Panel meets, YBA will inform you about their decision.  In some cases, your plan may not be approved but you will be given the opportunity to develop it further and re-submit.  If you are approved, prior to funding, you will be matched with a one-to-one YBA Mentor.
